INNER EQUILIBRIUM – Original painting oil on canvas – framed

Original abstract painting picturing the two different halves living in balance in each one of us – The Good one and the Bad one. What's their influence upon our nature and how solid or fragile the ties between them can be?  Speculating on these questions drove the idea of this painting. Looking for bolder image I thought the Impasto technique would perfectly re-create the depth and complexity of the two opposed parts. And … safety pins, are they strong and safe enough to hold the balance?
Colour palette features shades of navy blue, teal, sapphire blue, shades of Naples yellow, beige, ochre, amber, burnt umber and Prussian blue on the background, silver ink is used for more realistic look of the safety pins.
The painting is varnished with high class Winsor-Newton matt varnish for quality protection and is finished with wide 4.5 cm (2″) luxury frame in grey and and antique gold, ready to hang on a wall.
